Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Risk Analyst for the Payments Risk Operations team. You will serve as the escalation point for the most complex risk cases across deposits, withdrawals, trading, and flagged activity.

You will use AI-native tools while maintaining evidentiary standards to improve rules, models, and policies in partnership with Risk Modeling and Analytics. You will own escalations, lead responses to emerging fraud patterns, and drive improvements in SOPs and risk controls.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in payments risk, fraud operations, or fraud investigations with escalation authority.
• Experience with risk workflows, rules, and controls to reduce losses.
• Ability to communicate complex risk decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own escalations for complex risk cases with decision authority.
• Lead response to emerging fraud patterns from detection to remediation.
• Maintain knowledge of review workflows, SOPs, and risk controls.
• Drive rule/model performance with analytics teams to reduce losses with low customer friction.
• Present findings to Risk leadership and partner teams; coach analysts.
