Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Risk Analyst for Payments Risk Operations.

The role focuses on escalations for complex, high-dollar cases across deposits, withdrawals, trading and other flagged activity, and improving rules, models, and policies in collaboration with Risk Modeling, Fraud Detection, and Analytics. You will work AI-native from day one, applying Coinbase's tools to accelerate investigations while maintaining evidentiary standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in payments risk, fraud operations, or fraud investigations with escalation authority.
• Deep understanding of ACH, cards, wires, and crypto rails with proven risk improvements.
• Proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience tracing funds on-chain.
• Experience reviewing analyst decisions for quality and SOP adherence.
• Uses generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own escalations from Payments Risk Operations and partner teams, including high-dollar losses and suspected fraud.
• Lead the response to emerging fraud patterns from detection to remediation.
• Maintain knowledge of review workflows, SOPs, and risk controls as products evolve.
• Drive rule and model performance with Risk Modeling and Analytics to reduce losses with minimal customer friction.
• Present findings to Risk leadership and partners across Product, Engineering, and Customer Support; coach analysts.
