Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician II to join the care team. Under supervision, you will assist with patient care, monitor observations, and support the nursing staff in delivering safe, compassionate care across shifts.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and current BLS certification, with experience in inpatient/outpatient settings preferred. This position includes an evening shift and weekend coverage as part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school education or GED.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Demonstrated competency in patient care with inpatient/outpatient experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under supervision of a licensed clinician.
• Communicate observations to the RN regarding vital signs and patient condition.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Perform vital signs and basic measurements; document accordingly.
• Assist with treatments, prepare equipment and supplies as needed.
• Precept new Patient Care Technicians as required.
