Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a Billing and Revenue Cycle professional to join the Patient Financial Services team in a virtual Arizona-based role. In this daytime, Monday to Friday position you will collect, reconcile, resolve credit balances, review denials and correspondence, and communicate with patients, insurers and hospital departments while upholding HIPAA and high service standards.

This role requires 5 years of billing experience and a high school diploma; preferred are accounting coursework

Qualifications

• 5 years billing or collections experience preferred.
• 18 months patient accounts experience required.
• 18 months billing, collection or Medicare/Commercial billings - required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reconciles complex, multi-payment accounts and determines underpayment or overpayment adjustments.
• Submits appeal letters on underpaid claims as directed.
• Interprets payer contracts to verify payment and PCON adjustments are accurate.
• Reviews EOBs for denials and posts correct adjustments to balance accounts.
• Suggests process improvements and helps develop procedures within the PFS department.
