Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Senior Patient Access Specialist to manage admitting duties, collect insurance information, and ensure compliant patient processing. You will train new staff, develop schedules, and provide after-hours support to maintain high service levels.

The role emphasizes accurate CPT and billing workflows, patient education distribution, and cross-team collaboration to optimize POS collections and overall patient experience.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a similar Patient Access role.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
• Understanding of revenue cycle including admission, billing, payments, and denials.
• Knowledge of patient insurance processes for authorizations and benefits verification.
• Interest in AI and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Assign accurate MRNs and perform medical necessity or compliance checks.
• Operate telephone switchboard for calls and inter-office communications.
• Audit accounts and prepare reports for leadership on accuracy and timelines.
• Develop training materials and programs for new hires in the department.
• Create staff schedules and provide on-call coverage as needed.
• Explain consent forms and distribute patient education documents.
