Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assist in training and problem solving for patient access staff.
• Register patients accurately, efficiently and professionally to ensure data integrity.
• Apply financial screening guidelines to ensure collectable accounts.
• Follow department procedures for Medicare, authorizations and referrals.
• Communicate effectively with Patient Access team members and management.
• Lead department workload and delegate tasks as needed.
• Review demographics, CPT codes, authorizations and referrals for accuracy.
• Perform follow up with physician offices and insurers for required authorizations.
