Qualifications

• Education requirement: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of patient access experience.
• Knowledge of all Capital Health departments required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong customer service and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in training and chart review with patient access staff.
• Assign duties to registrars as directed by Supervisor or Manager.
• Manage all assigned responsibilities independently.
• Troubleshoot department issues and maintain accuracy across processes.
• Liaise with physician offices and ancillary departments as needed.
• Ensure compliance with Medicare CPT codes, authorizations and referrals; verify payer requirements.
