Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative IV to act as a subject matter expert, ensuring accurate patient registrations and compliance with insurance guidelines. You will train staff, manage workflow, and liaise with physician offices to secure authorizations and referrals.

Ideal candidates will have 2 years of patient access experience, strong communication skills, and advanced knowledge of health insurance processes.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalency.
• Experience: Two-year patient access experience.
• Knowledge: Advanced health insurance and prior authorizations knowledge.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication; strong customer service and problem-solving.
• Training: Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in training and chart review with junior staff; delegate tasks.
• Register patients quickly and accurately; verify demographics and CPT codes.
• Follow up with physician offices and payers for authorizations and referrals.
• Ensure compliance with payer requirements and Medicare guidelines.
• Mentor and lead the Patient Access team; participate in process improvement.
