Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is hiring a Senior Patient Access Specialist for an on-site role at Bon Secours - St Mary’s Hospital in Richmond, VA. You will perform admitting duties, verify insurance, collect data, and support POS activities while upholding patient care and compliance standards.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in revenue cycle roles, an associate degree or equivalent, and a proactive, innovative mindset.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of revenue cycle, admissions, billing, payments and denials.

Responsibilities

• Perform admitting duties for all patients and ensure accurate MRNs and insurance data.
• Develop training materials and programs for new hires; provide continuing education to staff.
• Coordinate staff scheduling; participate in on-call coverage and after-hours support.
• Explain general consent forms and ABN processes; distribute relevant patient education materials.
• Screen eligibility and enter benefit data to support POS and billing; assist with pre-registration.
