Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking an entry level Patient Access Specialist for an on-site role at Bon Secours - Southampton Memorial Hospital in Franklin, VA. You will perform admission duties, collect insurance, and provide outstanding customer service while navigating compliance and patient education materials.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of customer service experience and is open to innovation, including AI to streamline patient and client experiences.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Open to innovation including AI to improve processes and experiences.

Responsibilities

• Assign MRNs and complete medical necessity/compliance checks, collect insurance information and process physician orders with excellent service.
• Operate the telephone switchboard to relay calls and maintain professional communication.
• Explain and obtain signatures on consent forms, and distribute patient education documents.
• Review eligibility responses and enter benefit data to support POS collections and billing for clean claims.
• Pre-register patient accounts and assist with demographic, insurance and financial information including payment plans.
• Conduct audits of accounts, ensure forms are completed on time, and provide data to leadership.
