Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of clerical experience in a medical office required; related experience may be considered.
• Proficient knowledge of medical office software for demographics, charges, copays, and scheduling.
• Excellent verbal communication and ability to handle changing priorities.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills required.
• Ability to interact with diverse individuals and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work as part of a team and show initiative.
• Basic medical terminology; EPIC systems experience; payor billing and coding awareness.
• Preferred: proficiency with all computer software used in the practice.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and provide friendly, professional service during check-in and check-out.
• Accurately collect and update patient demographics, insurance information, and required documentation.
• Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently to support access and clinic operations.
• Process patient charges, collect payments, and assist with related billing questions.
