Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Sr Patient Access Associate to greet patients, verify insurance, and secure accurate registrations that optimize cash flow. You will support scheduling, pre-registration, and payments while providing bedside interaction in a high-volume environment.

The role requires at least two years of customer service, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

Minimum two years customer service experience.
High school education or equivalent.
Ability to work in a proactive self-directed manner.
Multi-tasking and problem solving abilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong communication and organizational skills with detail-oriented work.
Demonstrates the ability to form and maintain working relationships within the organization to foster a team environment.
Ability to type 35 wpm with 95% accuracy.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six months of hire or transfer date.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist patients and customers in a professional, timely, and efficient manner and create accounts accurately to optimize cash flow.
Handle scheduling confirmations, pre-registration/pre-admission, registration/admission, insurance verification, receipting of payments, and patient way finding/escorting.
Provide coverage across departments, including the emergency department, as needed, with face-to-face and bedside interaction.
