Cardinal Health is seeking a remote, full-time Case Manager to support patient access to therapy through reimbursement and benefit investigations. You will guide providers through referrals, insurance benefits, and prior authorizations, coordinating with payers and pharmacies to ensure timely coverage.

The role emphasizes accuracy, adherence to HIPAA, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient journeys in a high-enrollment environment.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years experience in related field preferred.
• Experience with major medical fertility and travel & lodging BI preferred.
• 1–2 years experience conducting and documenting patient health insurance benefit investigations, prior authorizations, and appeals preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and commercially insured payer practices preferred.
• Knowledge of Health Insurance Marketplace and ACA preferred.
• Knowledge of medical/pharmacy billing and coding preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Guide patient access to therapy through reimbursement support services.
• Assist healthcare providers through patient referral intake and benefit investigations.
• Identify and initiate prior authorizations and step-therapy reviews.
• Proactively follow up with payers, pharmacies and support organizations to facilitate coverage.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and program business rules.
