Job summary

Houston Methodist Primary Care Group is seeking a Senior Patient Services Representative to manage patient check-in/out and schedule appointments, ensuring a smooth visit experience. The role may involve registration and revenue cycle tasks and serving as a mentor to newer staff.

You will support timely claims submission, coordinate patient flow, and communicate effectively with patients, physicians and staff, upholding HIPAA requirements and high service standards.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience to include three years experience in a related role within healthcare
• Must possess strong customer service and scheduling skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians and staff with a customer-service mindset
• Experience with revenue cycle processes and insurance requirements preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs patient check in/check out functions and schedules appointments to facilitate visits
• Supports registration and/or other revenue cycle tasks as needed
• Provides general operations assistance and patient service tasks
• Mentors less experienced staff and acts as a role model for the team
