Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Senior Patient Services Representative to handle patient check-in/out and scheduling to ensure a smooth visit experience. The role includes complex scheduling tasks and supporting revenue cycle activities while serving as a role model for staff.

You will interact with patients, physicians and staff with a strong focus on customer service, accuracy and HIPAA compliance. This position is non-exempt and on-site in Houston, TX.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent education required.
• Five years of experience, including at least three years in a related healthcare role.
• Strong English language reading, writing, and speaking skills for patient safety and communication.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient check in/out and inputs scheduling/registration data to initiate financial clearance activities as needed.
• Supports front-end revenue cycle duties and insurance verification as directed.
• Provides general operations assistance and administrative support as needed.
• Acts as a role model and mentor for less experienced staff.
