Job summary

Troutman Pepper Locke LLP is seeking a Paralegal for its Intellectual Property Practice Group in Stamford, CT. The role supports patent prosecution, docket management, and international filings under attorney supervision, with an annual billing component of 1,500 hours.

The candidate will handle IDS data, recordations, and communications with clients and attorneys, while maintaining confidential information and contributing to efficient workflows across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
• Minimum eight (8) years of progressive patent prosecution experience.
• Ability to prepare and file patent applications and related filings; manage IDS data and assignments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file patent applications, pre-grant filings and other filings with USPTO and PCT under attorney supervision.
• Monitor deadlines for US and international dockets and coordinate with attorneys, clients, and management.
• Review daily docket reports and communicate with the IP docket department.
• Maintain client communications with discretion and confidentiality and support attorneys as needed.
