Job summary

Troutman Pepper Locke LLP in Chicago is seeking an experienced Paralegal for the Intellectual Property Practice Group to support patent prosecution, manage dockets, and liaise with clients and attorneys.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least ten years of progressive patent prosecution experience and strong knowledge of US, PCT and international filings; proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. A hybrid work arrangement is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; combination of training and experience acceptable.
• Minimum ten (10) years of progressive patent prosecution experience.
• Experience with US, PCT and international filings.
• Ability to manage deadlines and communicate with clients and attorneys.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file patent applications and related filings under attorney supervision.
• Monitor deadlines for US and international dockets.
• Maintain client communications and manage IDS and other filings.
• Track billable and non-billable time per firm policy.
