Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company seeks a Senior Patch Management Specialist to lead enterprise patch strategy across desktops, laptops, and remote endpoints in a defense-focused environment.

You will coordinate with security and IT teams, drive automation and audit readiness, and deliver metrics to leadership while maintaining regulatory compliance with minimal service impact. A strong WSUS/SCCM background is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Typically 8+ years of patch management, infrastructure operations, or security engineering with enterprise-wide ownership.
• Deep understanding of patch management principles and experience with WSUS and SCCM.
• Experience supporting audits and automated patch management in regulated environments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern enterprise patch management strategy, standards, and schedules.
• Architect and optimize patching solutions using WSUS/SCCM and reporting.
• Lead response to critical and zero-day vulnerabilities with rapid assessment and patch rollout.
• Establish and manage patch exception and mitigation processes, including reporting noncompliance to leadership.
• Partner with vulnerability management, security operations, and network/server teams to integrate scan results and threat intel.
• Design automation, scripting, and configuration baselines that reduce manual effort and improve patch success.
• Develop and publish executive-level metrics on patch compliance and remediation timelines.
