ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, is seeking a Senior Patch Management Specialist to oversee enterprise patching for desktops, laptops, and remote endpoints in a defense-focused environment. You will define governance, schedules, and standards while ensuring alignment with security policies and mission needs.

The role leads cross-team coordination with security, infrastructure, and end-user support, driving automation, audit readiness, and continuous improvement of patching

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Typically 8+ years of patch management, infra operations, or security engineering.
• Deep understanding of patch management principles and tools like WSUS/SCCM.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience supporting audits and automated patch management in regulated environments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern patch management strategy, standards, and schedules.
• Architect and optimize patching solutions using WSUS, SCCM, or equivalent.
• Lead response to critical and zero-day vulnerabilities with rapid rollout.
• Establish and manage patch exception and mitigation processes.
• Partner with vulnerability management and security teams to integrate findings.
• Design automation, scripting, and baselines to improve consistency.
• Develop executive metrics and dashboards on patch compliance and risk.
