Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, seeks a Senior Patch Management Specialist to lead enterprise patch strategy for desktops, laptops, and remote endpoints in defense-focused environments. You will govern standards, schedules, and remediation aligned with security policies and mission needs.

You will coordinate with security, infrastructure, and end-user support teams, drive automation, audit readiness, and continuous improvement of patching processes and tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT/CS or related field.
• Typically 8+ years in patch management, infrastructure operations, or security engineering.
• Deep understanding of patch management principles with WSUS/SCCM experience.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills; able to manage multiple initiatives.
• Experience supporting audits and automated patch management in regulated environments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern patch management strategy, standards, and schedules.
• Architect and optimize large-scale patching with WSUS/SCCM and reporting.
• Lead responses to critical vulnerabilities with rapid assessment and rollout.
• Manage patch exception processes and report noncompliance to leadership.
• Coordinate with vulnerability management, security ops, and network teams.
• Design automation and configuration baselines to improve consistency.
• Publish executive-level metrics on patch compliance and remediation timelines.
