The role aligns remediation with security policies, coordinating across security, infrastructure, and end-user teams to automate, audit, and improve patching processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Typically 8+ years of patch management, infra ops, or security engineering.
• Deep understanding of patch management with WSUS and SCCM.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and multitasking abilities.
• Experience supporting audits in regulated environments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern enterprise patch management strategy and schedules.
• Architect and optimize large-scale patching with WSUS/SCCM and reporting.
• Lead response to critical vulnerabilities and rapid patch rollouts.
• Manage patch exceptions, risk acceptance, and noncompliance reporting.
• Integrate scan results and threat intel into patch planning.
• Design automation and baselines to improve patch success rates.
• Publish executive metrics on patch compliance and remediation timeline.
