Yahoo Mail is building Data Products—externalizing high-signal behavioral data as partner-ready APIs and data feeds. We seek a Partner Success Engineer to own end-to-end partner integrations and ensure API contracts are met and SLAs honored.

You operate at the intersection of engineering, data, and partnerships, partnering with enterprise teams to harden APIs and optimize streaming pipelines while translating partner requirements into actionable specs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience focused on partner engineering or external API integration.
• Strong experience with REST/gRPC APIs, HTTP, rate limiting, OAuth 2.0, API keys.
• Proven experience as the primary technical point of contact for enterprise partners on complex integrations.
• Background in distributed systems and high-throughput data delivery architectures (e.g., Kafka, Pub/Sub).
• Ability to debug asynchronous systems under pressure and communicate with non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the single point of contact and DRI for technical partner success, from onboarding to production optimization.
• Maintain API reliability, performance, latency, uptime, and SLA compliance across all external data feeds and integrations.
• Establish proactive monitoring, logging, and automated alerting for data product health to resolve issues before impacting partners.
• Translate complex partner requirements and integration edge cases into actionable technical specifications and internal roadmap items.
• Partner with core engineering to harden APIs, optimize streaming pipelines, and refine data contracts.
• Maintain developer documentation, integration playbooks, architecture diagrams, and escalation paths.
