Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Supervisory Paralegal to work on-site in Washington, DC, supporting a Government project within the National Fraud Enforcement Division of the DOJ. You will lead a team of paralegals and support staff on major litigation support efforts and research tasks.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of litigation paralegal experience, supervisory capabilities, and strong familiarity with legal research tools such as Lexis and Westlaw. U.S.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with 4+ years of litigation paralegal experience.
  • Experience in automated litigation support.
  • Supervisory experience and strong communication with clients and attorneys.
  • Sound working knowledge of federal and state court system, legal research procedures, and resources.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and thorough knowledge of Lexis and Westlaw.
  • Hands-on familiarity with word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and imaging.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and supervises paralegals and support staff on major projects and large research efforts.
  • Monitors progress and reports on status to leadership.
  • Ensures work meets contract and attorney requirements and is delivered on time.
  • Performs detailed reviews of case materials, including financial records and litigation files.
  • Indexes case files and drafts procedures for litigation support tasks.
  • Acts as team leader for a group of legal professionals as required.
  • Reviews audio files for relevance and updates databases with findings.
  • Communicates with DOJ components, federal agencies and others during investigations.
  • Utilizes Excel to track information and analyze case statistics.
  • Supports trial preparation: document organization, Bates stamping and research.
  • Uses Relativity, Casemap, Oncue for discovery production.
  • Searches Relativity per criteria and reviews results for relevance.
  • Coordinates with contractor data processing and other teams; travels up to 50% as needed.
