Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Paralegal to work fully onsite in support of the Criminal Division of the Department of Justice. Responsibilities include locating information for investigations, organizing material for legal documents, and assisting with all phases of pre-litigation work.

The role requires paralegal credentials or equivalent, 2+ years of litigation support, and expertise with eDiscovery platforms and research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate or JD or currently attending ABA-accredited law school with at least one year of study.
• 2+ years of litigation paralegal experience or related project experience.
• Experience in automated litigation support and familiar with eDiscovery tools.
• Solid knowledge of federal/state court systems and legal research resources (LEXIS/Westlaw).
• Proficiency with word processing, databases, spreadsheets, imaging, and hardware systems.

Responsibilities

• Locate information for Criminal Division attorneys to support investigations and litigation through coordination with law enforcement and officials.
• Organize incoming material and prepare legal documents (complaints, motions, pleadings, subpoenas).
• Review, annotate, and summarize transcripts, reports, and evidence; assist with witness interviews and research.
• Draft correspondence and pleadings from templates for AUSA review; ensure style/format compliance.
• Provide litigation support by compiling case summaries, trial notebooks, and exhibits for depositions and court presentations.
