Job summary

Amentum seeks a Senior Paralegal to join DOJ team in Washington, DC. This full-time, on-site role reports to a Supervisory Paralegal or Project Manager and requires strong litigation support skills.

Responsibilities include indexing case files, drafting procedures, preparing witnesses and exhibits, reviewing discovery, and using Relativity, Casemap and OnCue for eDiscovery. Travel up to 50% may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires paralegal certificate, or JD, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study, or an equivalent level of legal training or experience; or an equivalent level of education may be substituted
• Additionally, at least two years of litigation paralegal experience or project experience is required; trial experience is very helpful.
• Must have experience handling financial crimes/non-compliance cases.
• Requires knowledge of federal and state court systems and legal research resources.
• Requires excellent written and oral communication skills and knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
• Hands-on familiarity with word processing, databases, spreadsheets, imaging, and hardware systems.
• Knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and tools.

Responsibilities

• Performs detailed indexing of case files and drafting procedures for litigation support assignments.
• Composes and proofs documents; reviews audio files and updates databases.
• Prepares witnesses, exhibits and other evidence binders; tracks discovery items.
• Communicates with DOJ components and agencies during investigations and litigation.
• Summarizes materials for attorneys in discovery and motion practice.
• Performs trial preparation tasks including document review and Bates stamping.
• Uses Relativity, Casemap and OnCue for investigations and discovery.
