Job summary

Contact Government Services (CGS) seeks a Senior Paralegal to support an in-house government legal team in Milwaukee, WI. The role focuses on eDiscovery, workflow management, and attorney support within an active litigation portfolio.

The candidate will handle complex legal documents, assist trial prep, and provide automated litigation support using Relativity, Everlaw, and other platforms. Strong research, communication, and security clearance-ready credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Requires paralegal certificate, or JD, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study, or an equivalent level of legal training or experience; or an equivalent level of education may be substituted.
• At least two years of litigation paralegal experience or project experience related to the task order.
• At least one year of experience in automated litigation support.
• Requires knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and resources.
• Requires excellent written and oral communication skills and knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
• Must have familiarity with various computer applications including word processing, databases, spreadsheets, imaging, and HR/hardware systems.
• Role requires familiarity with ESI tools and eDiscovery procedures and resources.
• Must be a United States Citizen and eligible to receive a Public Trust security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Prepares a variety of technical legal documents including warrants, subpoenas, motions, and legal memoranda with limited instructions.
• Assists litigation teams in trial prep by organizing documents, data, exhibits, and witness material.
• Provides advanced automated litigation support using multiple software applications.
• Performs complex legal research to verify citations, statutes, and precedents.
• Drafts preliminary memoranda and correspondence conforming to local court rules.
• Assists with discovery to determine responsiveness and format; screens for privileged material.
• Compiles outgoing discovery in compliance with Federal Rules and court orders.
• Manages docketing and case status checks in case management systems.
• Communicates with litigation teams about discovery status and issues.
