Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) seeks a Senior Litigation Paralegal to support a fast-moving in-house government legal team, focusing on eDiscovery, workflow management, and attorney support.

The role requires a paralegal certificate or JD (or in ABA-accredited law school) with at least two years of litigation paralegal experience, strong Lexis/Westlaw research skills, and trial-ready document production capabilities.

Qualifications

• Requires paralegal certificate, or JD, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study.
• At least two years of litigation paralegal experience is required; trial experience is very helpful.
• At least one year of experience in automated litigation support; knowledge of federal and state court systems and legal research.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and knowledge of Lexis and Westlaw.
• Hands-on familiarity with word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and imaging.
• Familiarity with ESI tools and eDiscovery procedures; ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepares a variety of technical legal documents that are complex in format.
• Reviews incoming documents and assesses case status.
• Prepares indictments, subpoenas, and legal memoranda for review.
• Electronically files documents with the U.S. District Court using CM/ECF.
• Organizes trial notebooks, exhibits, and jury instructions.
• Manages discovery processing and production; Bates-stamping and redaction in Acrobat.
• Maintains electronic case files and calendars deadlines in case management systems.
• Coordinates with victims/witness personnel and case agents as needed.
