Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior Paralegal to join a DOJ project in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This onsite, full-time role reports to a Supervisory Paralegal or Project Manager and involves complex legal research, document review, and heavy litigation support activities.

Responsibilities include drafting and proofreading, preparing exhibits, managing discovery, and assisting with trial prep using Relativity, Casemap, Oncue, and related tools. Travel up to 50% may be required.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate, JD, or active ABA‑accredited law student (at least one year).
• At least two years of litigation paralegal experience; trial experience helpful.
• Experience in automated litigation support.
• Strong knowledge of federal/state court systems and legal research procedures/resources.
• Excellent written and oral communication; proficient in LEXIS/Westlaw.
• Proficient with word processing, databases, spreadsheets, imaging, and hardware.
• Familiarity with ESI tools and eDiscovery procedures/resources.
• Ability to perform under pressure and deliver high‑quality work.
• US Citizenship required for MRPT credentials/authorization.

Responsibilities

• Index case files in detail and draft litigation support procedures.
• Draft and edit concise legal documents.
• Proofread and edit materials for accuracy.
• Review audio for relevance and update databases.
• Prepare witnesses, exhibits, and evidence binders.
• Track discovery items and manage productions.
• Coordinate with DOJ components and other agencies during investigations.
• Summarize depositions and transcripts for attorneys.
