Job summary

Amentum is seeking a paralegal to support attorneys with discovery, motions, and trial prep at the Washington, D.C. location. The position involves compiling materials, summarizing depositions, and maintaining case files under established procedures.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate or JD or ABA-approved law school, 1+ year in program.
• At least two years of litigation paralegal experience; trial experience helpful.
• Experience in automated litigation support.
• Knowledge of federal and state court systems and research procedures.
• Excellent written and oral communication with mastery of Lexis/Westlaw.

Responsibilities

• Compile and summarize materials for attorneys in discovery and motions.
• Summarize depositions and transcripts; maintain case files.
• Index, track, and control discovery materials and exhibits.
• Prepare exhibit cross-references and assist in courtroom.
• Perform simple legal research and draft memoranda; synopsize hearings.
• Assist with FOIA and Congressional inquiries materials.
