Job summary

Textron Systems in Louisiana seeks a Sr Painter – First Shift to join our Manufacturing team. This role paints surfaces, prepares coatings, and works with spray painting equipment under supervision to meet program requirements.

You will read blueprints, follow shop orders, and maintain accurate records while ensuring quality finishes. The ideal candidate has formal craft training and 3+ years of related experience, is able to work rotating shifts, and can operate hand tools and cleaning

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent experience.
• Formal craft training and 3 plus years of related experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and sketches, shop orders and perform shop mathematics.
• Must be willing to work rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Painting, sand blasting, spray painting using conventional and airless equipment.
• Pulling blast/paint lines, mixing paint, pressure washing, preparing surface for coatings.
• Maintains records, forms and logs as required.
• Performs equipment maintenance and uses hand tools as needed.
• Performs work in confined space and follows drawings and instructions.
