Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear, Inc. in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Painter to join our precision manufacturing team. You will follow process sheets, prepare surfaces, apply coatings, inspect parts, and ensure a quality finish on stock and custom parts.

You will also help maintain spray booths and equipment, adhere to safety protocols, manage painting supplies, and collaborate with supervisors to optimize production. This shift runs 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Follow production instructions: interpret sheets, blueprints, supervisor instructions.
• Prepare surfaces for painting: clean, mask, plug, or block to prep items for coating.
• Apply coatings: apply paint/coating with even coverage, avoid overspray.
• Inspect parts: verify stenciling against blueprints, patch/grind as needed.
• Ensure quality finish: achieve smooth coating, recoat if needed for thickness.
• Adhere to safety protocols: wear PPE, handle parts safely.
• Maintain equipment: clean spray booths, equipment, filters, tanks.
• Inventory management: ensure painting supplies are stocked and available.
• Transfer finished parts: move to final inspection or shipping area.
• Assist as needed: support other tasks or departments.
