Job summary

L’Oréal Operations in Clark, New Jersey is seeking a Qualification Manager to validate packaging for new launches, formula renovations, and packaging changes. The role leads testing plans, collaborates with suppliers, and ensures quality per the Packaging Conception Process.

You will perform hands-on lab work, manage test requests, mentor peers, and drive lab efficiency while onsite at least three days a week; US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant science required.
• 5–7+ years packaging engineering/qualification experience expected.
• Cosmetics/consumer goods knowledge preferred.
• Onsite work in Clark, NJ; US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Review pre-specifications, define test plans, and manage TRs in GECO.
• Validate testing results across CDC compatibility, helicoidal retention, and decoration.
• Coordinate with suppliers, conduct packaging audits, and upskill partners.
• Lead lab processes, standardize methods, and mentor peers.
• Perform hands-on lab work: drop tests, decoration tests, sun tests.
• Manage timelines and prioritize testing with stakeholders.
• Communicate results and propose solutions to business priorities.
• Lead cross-functional projects to improve lab efficiency, safety, and quality.
