Job summary

L'Oréal USA, Inc. seeks a Qualification Manager for the Packaging Qualification Lab in Clark, NJ. The role focuses on validating packaging for new launches, formula renovations, and packaging changes, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring quality across testing programs.

You will manage test plans, run hands-on lab work, and lead onboarding while driving cross-functional collaboration and process improvements. Hybrid work eligibility applies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Engineering or a relevant scientific field
• 5-7+ years of packaging experience and qualification
• Experience in cosmetics/consumer goods is preferred
• Authorization to work in the US is required (no visa sponsorship)
• Onsite presence required at least 3 days a week

Responsibilities

• Review pre-specifications, define test plans, and manage Test Requests (TRs) in GECO; validate results
• Resolve conflicts and present solutions to stakeholders
• Coordinate with external suppliers; conduct packaging audits and upskill partners
• Lead quality and sustainability projects within the Conception Process
• Drive lab efficiency; standardize processes and demonstrate value through outcomes
• Perform risk analysis and make recommendations to stakeholders
• Conduct hands-on lab work (filling, evaluation, packaging tests)
• Manage project timelines and prioritize testing with stakeholders
• Ensure adherence to quality processes and cross-functional alignment
• Lead transversal projects to improve lab efficiency and safety
• Participate in training and onboarding of new staff
