Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Senior Packaging and Material Handling Engineer in Houston, TX to optimize packaging and material handling processes, improve safety, quality and cost, and support cross-functional teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering, 5+ years in packaging/manufacturing, and strong skills in Lean Six Sigma, Minitab, AutoCAD, and MS Office. Travel to multiple sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering or plant manufacturing with focus on packaging and material handling.
• Experience with packaging types and feeding/handling mechanisms is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office, Google, AutoCAD, Minitab.

Responsibilities

• Lead packaging/material handling process improvements.
• Perform trials, capability analyses and time studies.
• Use value stream mapping to optimize material flow across plants.
• Support CAPEX and kaizen events, driving cost reductions and safety improvements.
