Job summary

ASR Group is hiring a Senior Corporate Packaging Engineer to support packaging locations across the enterprise. The role focuses on improving packaging lines, lead time reductions, and cost savings while ensuring safety and quality.

You will work with vertical form-fill-seal machines, baggers, cartoners, scales, labelers, and robotics to implement permanent improvements. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in packaging/quality engineering, a lean six sigma background, and experience with packaging

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in packaging engineering, quality engineering, or manufacturing.
• Proven ability to apply engineering practices to high-volume consumer packaging.
• Strong track record in Lean Manufacturing and 6 Sigma activities.
• Prior experience in Packaging Controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot packaging issues and optimize packing line efficiencies across locations.
• Develop and improve procedures to reduce setup/changeover time and cost.
• Demonstrate troubleshooting skills using continuous improvement techniques.
• Understand machine/material/people interactions to maintain robust systems.
• Learn and apply new systems or technology to drive improvements.
• Maintain material balances and unit operation data for optimal production.
• Support capital projects and packaging material testing/start-ups.
• Minimize packaging material scrap and product giveaway.
• Ensure equipment safety meets specifications for safe working conditions.
• Conduct capacity studies and identify productivity improvements including new tech.
• Serve as technical liaison across production, maintenance, and R&D.
• Develop/deliver technical training and provide cross-functional support.
