Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Senior Manager of Commercial Secondary Packaging based in Ohio to lead a team of packaging engineers, ensuring reliable and compliant packaging for final and WIP products. You will set priorities, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and External Supply to meet production demands.

Qualifications

• Doctorate, Master’s, Bachelor’s, or equivalent with extensive engineering experience.
• Minimum 2 years of direct people management or leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop packaging engineers for commercial operations.
• Drive root cause analysis for deviations and implement CAPAs.
• Improve packaging line performance and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee packaging configurations, specs, and maintenance for commercial products.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and External Supply to ensure inspection readiness.

Education

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Engineering, Materials Science, or Industrial Design experience

Master’s degree and 6 years of Engineering, Materials Science, or Industrial Design experience

Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of Engineering, Materials Science, or Industrial Design experience

Associate’s degree and 10 years of Engineering, Materials Science, or Industrial Design experience

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Engineering, Materials Science, or Industrial Design experience
