Job summary

ASR Group, a world-leading cane sugar refiner, seeks a Senior Corporate Packaging Engineer for its Chalmette, LA or Baltimore, MD operations. You will lead packaging operations improvements, troubleshoot lines, and support capital projects and new product testing with a focus on cost savings, waste reduction, and safety.

The role requires 5+ years in packaging or manufacturing, a BS in Engineering or Packaging Science, and strong Lean/Six Sigma background.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in packaging engineering, quality engineering, or manufacturing.
• Strong background in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Proven ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot packaging issues and optimize packing line efficiencies.
• Develop and improve procedures to reduce setup and changeover time.
• Provide technical support for capital projects and new product testing.
• Ensure safety specifications for packaging equipment and processes.
• Travel to various locations to support performance improvements.
