Job summary

ASR Group seeks a Manager of Packaging Engineering to lead the packaging team, driving innovation, cost optimization, and sustainability from concept to commercialization. You will partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Procurement, Commercial, Product Development, and external suppliers to deliver strategic packaging programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Packaging Science, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Seven or more years of packaging development experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing engineers or other technical professionals; prior direct supervisory responsibility is preferred.
• Ability to lead complex packaging programs from concept through commercialization and manage a portfolio of priorities.
• Broad working knowledge of packaging materials, converting processes, package testing, distribution requirements, and packaging equipment.
• Strong project management, organizational change, communication, and stakeholder influence skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop Packaging Engineering team members with clear goals and accountability.
• Translate business priorities into an executable packaging portfolio.
• Prioritize packaging resources and projects based on impact, risk, timing, and capacity.
• Ensure packaging programs follow the stage-gate process with technical rigor and risk management.
• Communicate portfolio status, risks, and recommendations to leadership.
• Partner with suppliers and external resources to meet quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
