Job summary

Life Cycle Engineering seeks a Senior Packaging Engineer to lead packaging operations in Savannah, GA. You will drive troubleshooting, line optimization, and next-generation automation to boost throughput and reliability across a world-class facility.

Lead a high-performing packaging team, collaborate with senior leadership on strategic plans, and advance safety and quality standards. Expect a dynamic role focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Packaging Engineering.
15+ years in manufacturing with 10+ years in leadership roles.
Hands-on experience with packaging equipment (form/fill/seal, bagging, labeling, palletizing).
Knowledge of motion control, PLCs, robotics, and automation integration.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic direction and leadership to packaging operations.
Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for packaging equipment issues.
Oversee line optimization to maximize throughput and reliability.
Evaluate and implement next-generation automation solutions (robotics, vision systems).
Analyze OEE and performance data to drive productivity improvements.
Collaborate with suppliers and integrators to deploy world-class tech.
Establish quality control systems and regulatory/safety compliance.
Mentor engineers and technicians in advanced troubleshooting and automation.
