Job summary

SC Johnson is seeking a Senior Associate for its International Consumer Brands Pest Control Team in Racine, WI. The role focuses on leading end-to-end packaging development for global brands, including primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging, while ensuring technical excellence and regulatory compliance.

You will report to an R&D Manager and work with global partners to deliver design-ready packaging solutions that meet performance, safety, and sustainability goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in packaging engineering, packaging science or related field of engineering disciplines (e.g. Mechanical, Materials) and 4+ years of relevant work experience.
• Masters's Degree in packaging engineering, packaging science or related field of engineering disciplines (e.g. Mechanical, Materials) and 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Own the category packaging strategy roadmap for SCJ global brands and lead a multi-brand packaging strategy from concept selection to design freeze.
• Turn consumer insight into measurable packaging outcomes and champion safety, usability, and inclusive design with standardized validation protocols.
• Lead decision governance at Technical Reviews and define Go/No-Go criteria with structured risk assessments (DFMEA/FMEA).
• Digitize packaging development—own PLM data integrity (BOMs/specs) and pilot simulations/digital twins with dashboarding.
• Establish packaging design standards and prepare playbooks to enable rapid reuse and harmonization across regions.
• Drive commercialization readiness at scale with global line-qualification strategies and post-launch learnings.
