Job summary

SC Johnson is seeking a Senior Associate on the International Consumer Brands Pest Control Team to advance packaging materials and products from discovery to qualification. You will lead cross-functional teams through primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging development, ensuring technical objectives are met and regulatory requirements are addressed.

You will report to an R&D manager and contribute to the technical development and qualification of packaging while driving cross-brand

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in packaging engineering, packaging science or related field with 4+ years of experience, or Master’s with 2+ years.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Own the category packaging strategy roadmap for SCJ global brands and lead a multi-brand packaging strategy from concept to design freeze.
• Establish portfolio plan with KPIs to track progress and adjust as needed.
• Translate consumer insights into measurable packaging outcomes and set safety, usability, and recyclability targets.
• Lead technical reviews, define Go/No-Go criteria, and ensure timely actions with owners.
• Digitize packaging development with PLM data integrity and digital simulations for faster decisions.
• Develop packaging design standards and playbooks for regional harmonization.
• Drive global commercialization readiness and post-launch learnings for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with global partners to align on packaging initiatives across time zones.
• Ensure compliance and manage regulatory, quality, and supply chain risk.
• Build supplier ecosystem and explore alternative sourcing for scale-up.
• Deliver cost-optimized design-to-value and ecommerce-ready packaging solutions.
• Elevate team capability through coaching and continuous-improvement workstreams.
