Job Title: Senior Packaging Engineer, cosmetics, skincare, and CPG
Position Summary: This role is responsible for the Engineering and development of innovative packaging solutions that meet product protection, sustainability, and cost-efficiency goals. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure packaging designs align with manufacturing capabilities and regulatory requirements.
*please note this role is 5 days a week in office in Greenwich CT
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

● Engineers and develops innovative packaging solutions that meet product protection, sustainability, and cost-efficiency goals.
● Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including product development, manufacturing, and marketing, to ensure packaging designs align with overall project objectives.
● Conducts material selection and testing to ensure packaging meets quality and regulatory standards.
● Develops and maintains packaging specifications, documentation, and standards.
● Leads packaging projects from concept through implementation, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
● Analyzes and improves existing packaging processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
● Stays updated on industry trends, new materials, and technologies to incorporate best practices into packaging designs.
● Provides technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
● Performs other related duties as assigned.
● Tests packaging systems and components for new and existing products.
● Researches and introduces prototypes.
● Drafts specifications for new packing materials that will adequately protect finished products.
● Collaborates with staff from manufacturing and shipping departments to optimize products.
● Drafts and recommends procedures to establish or improve quality standards, standard repairs, process controls, and inspection methods.
● Analyzes, reviews, and approves manufacturing engineering policies, processes, documentation, and operations.
● Develops and implements strategies to increase quality and customization of products.
● Provides quality engineering support for in-progress and final acceptance projects.
● Provides technical and administrative support and guidance to direct and indirect reports.
● Performs other duties as required.
● Travel as necessary to suppliers, trade shows, etc.

Education/Experience:
● Bachelor's degree, (preferably in Package Engineering or another Engineering discipline) from four-year college or university;
● Two to five years related experience.
