Job Title: Senior Packaging Engineer (UCOM)

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Support the development of packaging and ensure Bill of Materials & packaging instructions are accurate and correct, and implement Engineering Changes.
  2. Prepare project cost estimates, budgets, and Returns On Investments (ROIs).
  3. Partner with Launch Managers, Facility Tooling, and Equipment Suppliers to develop and build assembly fixtures, assembly aids, or other molding tools.
  4. Interface with suppliers as needed on processes, productivity, and product improvements.
  5. Run Line Trials.
  6. Represent packaging in cross-functional team meetings.
  7. Provide technical support to production lines.
  8. Develop and update preventative maintenance of molds and machines while working in conjunction with mold and machine suppliers.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Candidates must have an AS/BS/MS in Packaging or related science field and 5 plus years of experience in either or all of Injection Molding, Extrusion Blow Molding, and Thermoforming.
  2. Advanced technical knowledge of injection molding, extrusion, and thermoforming is highly desired.
  3. The engineer must be able to support and/or manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
