Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller Design Group seeks a Sr. Project Engineer to lead packaging-line projects from conception to commissioning. You will work with experienced professionals and clients to deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.

You will contribute to line layout, equipment procurement, and project leadership while traveling to sites as needed and building strong client relationships. A technical degree and 5+ years in packaging engineering are required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent technical degree is required.
• 5+ years of project engineering experience with packaging lines, automation, or manufacturing applications.
• Candidates must have strong communication, interpersonal, and client/vendor interaction skills.
• Proficiency in machinery applications, Excel, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks; able to manage projects and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Accountability for all aspects of project execution including line layout engineering, mechanical design, and equipment procurement.
• Manage multiple project responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining schedule and budget.
• Maintain and grow solid client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
• Convert information into project documentation and lead packaging automation line integration.
• Travel as necessary for project requirements, including site visits and client meetings.
