Gotion Inc. in the United States is seeking a Senior/Staff Pack Performance Engineer to bridge cell, BMS and vehicle integration.

You will work across BMS/controls, systems engineering and pack hardware to define power and performance targets. This hybrid role requires delivering validated battery-system performance from design through vehicle integration, with emphasis on SOC/SOP, cell balancing and thermal management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in battery systems, BMS, or pack engineering at EV OEM or supplier.
• Hands-on SOC/SOP estimation, cell balancing, isolation measurement.
• Experience defining charge/discharge limits across SOC, temperature, and cell capability.
• BMS and VCU integration experience.
• Experience with pack thermal design and validation and high-voltage pack design.

Responsibilities

• Define power and SOC/SOP limits and validate them for vehicle integration.
• Own SOC estimation and SOP algorithm inputs and validation.
• Lead cell balancing strategy and isolation measurement verification.
• Drive BMS and VCU integration to ensure correct interpretation of data at vehicle level.
• Lead systems-level validation planning and execution across battery systems and vehicle integration.
• Coordinate with powertrain, controls, and vehicle teams to align requirements and validation evidence.
