Job summary

Gotion Inc. is seeking a Senior System Engineer in Silicon Valley to design, develop, and release battery pack/module systems that meet customer requirements. You will lead the battery design team and define BMS performance inputs for the BMS team.

The role includes coordinating design reviews at project milestones, working with cell teams to build performance and life models, and communicating proposals to customers. Base pay is a range; growth opportunities exist within Gotion.

Qualifications

• Essential duties include understanding battery system requirements from customers.
• Coordinate battery/module design proposals with cross-functional teams.
• Develop models for cell and battery performance and life.
• Plan and validate battery system development and testing.
• Present design proposals and plans to customers.

Responsibilities

• Face/communicate with customer to understand/ transfer battery system requirements.
• Co-operate cell team to recommend cell proposal for a particular battery system.
• Organize battery system development team to work out battery/module design proposal.
• Build up cell performance model through cell test data, and predict cell voltage, cell thermal performance under different drive profile provided by customer.
• Responsible for planning battery system development validation requirements and test.
• Report/Explain battery system design proposal and plan to customer.
• Organize battery/Module design review meeting at every project milestone.
• Support product project matched pairs for reporting activity.
