Job summary

The Employee Connect is seeking a Senior Physician Assistant for urgent care and emergency services in Folsom, CA. You will work in a physician-led team evaluating and treating acute illnesses and injuries with a focus on rapid, safe care.

This onsite, full-time role offers diverse schedules including days, evenings, and weekends. Ideal candidates are experienced PAs with CA license, NCCPA, DEA, BLS/ACLS, and a track record in high-volume settings, committed to continuous learning and

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Active California Physician Assistant license or eligibility.
• Current NCCPA certification and DEA registration.
• BLS and ACLS certifications in good standing.
• Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or acute care.
• Flexibility to work rotating schedules including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute illnesses and injuries.
• Order and interpret lab tests, imaging, and diagnostics.
• Perform procedures such as laceration repair, splinting, and I&D.
• Develop treatment plans and prescribe medications within scope.
• Coordinate with physicians for escalation and admissions.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, meds, and follow-up.
• Document visits accurately in the electronic health record.
