Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Active California Physician Assistant license or eligibility.
• Current NCCPA certification and DEA registration.
• BLS and ACLS certifications in good standing.
• Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or acute care.
• Flexibility to work rotating schedules including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute illnesses and injuries.
• Order and interpret lab tests, imaging, and diagnostics.
• Perform procedures such as laceration repair, splinting, and I&D.
• Develop treatment plans and prescribe medications within scope.
• Coordinate with physicians for escalation and admissions.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, meds, and follow-up.
• Document visits accurately in the electronic health record.

Senior Physician Assistant - Urgent Care and Emergency

Location: Folsom, CA

Shift/Schedule: Full-time, onsite, various schedules including days, evenings, and weekends

Pay/Compensation: $175,200 – $264,800 per year

These clinicians evaluate and treat a broad range of acute illnesses and injuries as part of a physician-led team. Core Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute illnesses and injuries

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Current NCCPA certification
• Active California Physician Assistant license, or eligibility before start
• Current DEA registration, BLS, and ACLS certifications
• Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or acute care
• Flexibility to work rotating schedules including weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Several years of emergency department experience
• PALS certification
• Experience with procedural skills in a high-volume setting
• Epic electronic health record experience
• Experience within a large integrated health system
