Job summary

Slate is seeking a hands-on Senior P2P Process Analyst to join the Accounts Payable team in Newbury, MA. You will own root-cause analyses, drive SOP creation, and partner across Accounting, Purchasing, Plant Receiving, and Production Controls to improve payables processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, supply chain, business, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years in accounts payable, procure-to-pay or bill-to-pay operations or finance process improvement.
• Portfolio of published root-cause analyses with end-to-end walkthroughs and measurable results.
• Strong understanding of Procure to Pay and how purchasing, receiving, and invoicing intersect, including exceptions.
• ERP experience in a PO-driven environment; Hands-on SAP preferred with GR/IR and vendor master governance.
• Familiarity with EDI or e-invoicing; advanced Excel and data skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct root-cause analyses on recurring billing, invoicing, receiving, matching, and payment failures.
• Publish corrective actions with owners and due dates; verify fixes by recurrence reduction.
• Mine exception data to identify patterns, quantify impact, and prioritize problems.
• Co-own, author, and maintain the SOP library for full bill-to-pay lifecycle and train stakeholders.
• Partner with Accounting, Purchasing, Plant Receiving, and Production Controls to reduce upstream defects.
• Support ERP/P2P implementation, diagnose hold/reception issues, and assist in designing routing logic.
• Own performance reporting: first-time match rate, invoice exception rate, cycle time, on-time payments, and aging.
