POWERX is seeking a P&C Senior Test Engineer to independently execute testing, commissioning, and validation across transmission, distribution, and generation substations. You will work with minimal supervision, applying system-level knowledge to protection testing and mentoring junior engineers for future leadership roles.

The role covers protection schemes, CT/VT theory, relay logic, SCADA integration, and bidirectional communication with other teams.

Formación

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in high-voltage protection & control testing and commissioning.
• Experience commissioning substations from 12.5kV through 765kV preferred.
• Experience with SEL, GE, ABB, Siemens, Westinghouse, or equivalent relay platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology; NEC/OSHA knowledge is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Independently execute relay protection testing using industry-standard platforms.
• Test and validate protection elements including line, transformer, bus, feeder, and breaker schemes.
• Perform CT/PT testing and validation with accurate pass/fail determinations.
• Interpret relay logic and protection coordination to identify anomalies.
• Prepare test plans, isolation plans, and commissioning procedures for assigned scopes.
